Jeff Hoveln – President
As the second-generation leader of Hoveln Heating & Cooling Inc., Jeff brings decades of hands-on experience to the HVAC industry. His journey with Hoveln started in high school and continued after earning his certificate in HVAC from ITT Technical Institute in Indianapolis. Over the years, he has overseen thousands of successful projects, specializing in duct design, fabrication, and plumbing. His commitment to top-quality craftsmanship ensures every project upholds the company’s longstanding reputation for excellence and reliability.
Beyond work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his grandkids, tending to his yard, perfecting his craft of smoking meats, and cheering on the Illini during football season.
Shari Hoveln – CFO
As the CFO of Hoveln Heating & Cooling Inc., Shari Hoveln plays a vital role in overseeing the company’s financial operations. She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University and gained valuable experience working for an accounting firm before joining Hoveln full-time in 1999. Shari began her journey with the company as a service dispatcher, gradually taking on more responsibilities and eventually becoming the office manager. Today, she ensures the financial health and stability of the business, contributing to its continued growth and success.
Outside of work, Shari loves hosting gatherings at her home, bringing together her three kids, their spouses, three grandkids, and four grand dogs. She enjoys cooking for family and friends and takes great pride in decorating her home for every season.
Trent Hoveln – Install Director
Trent Hoveln grew up in St. Joseph and attended Illinois College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Psychology. After college, he began his career in the HVAC industry on the distribution side, working for Habegger Corporation in Ohio. In 2016, Trent moved back home and joined Hoveln Heating & Cooling full-time. Starting out in installation while also running service calls, he quickly became known for his ability to solve even the most advanced and complex HVAC challenges. In 2024, he added to his list of credentials by becoming a licensed plumber in the state of Illinois.
Outside of work, Trent enjoys spending time in his backyard garden with his wife, Bailey, and their children, Anya and Owen. In the fall, you might find him tailgating at Illinois football games or exploring local distilleries.
Brant Hoveln – Comfort Advisor / Service Director
Brant Hoveln began working at Hoveln Heating & Cooling during school breaks in middle and high school, gaining hands-on experience from an early age. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Technical Systems Management from the University of Illinois, he joined the company full-time in 2021. Having worked in various aspects of the business, Brant has since taken on the role of Comfort Advisor. His true passion lies in problem-solving—whether diagnosing and repairing equipment in the field or helping customers find the best solutions for their home comfort needs.
In his free time, Brant enjoys attending sporting events with his wife, Kate, and their son, Sawyer. He is also an advisor for Alpha Gamma Rho, the fraternity where he was a member for four years in college, and loves spending time with friends at his home in St. Joseph.
